Full Stack Engineer

What you'll do:

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in improving system design and maintaining a healthy codebase. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include making critical decisions regarding the quality, reliability, efficiency, and performance of components or features. You will also participate in design discussions, lead code reviews, mentor junior team members, and help define our team's processes and coding standards. Your expertise in diagnosing and fixing performance bottlenecks in complex web applications will be highly valued.

• Make decisions regarding component, feature, or application-level quality, reliability, efficiency, and performance.
• Help define and evolve team processes and coding standards.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Lead by example and influence the engineering team.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Work with browser developer tools to diagnose and fix performance bottlenecks in complex web applications.
• Fine-tune app observability, adding instrumentation and tools to measure app performance and health.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Full Stack Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in designing, building, and shipping software. You have strong proficiency in JavaScript & TypeScript either on Node.js or the browser. Your hands-on expertise with modern React development using functional components and hooks sets you apart from others. A solid understanding of semantic HTML and CSS is essential for this role. Your experience with fine-tuning app observability, adding instrumentation tools to measure app performance, writing automated tests, working within Scrum/Agile development methodologies will be highly valued.

• 5+ years of experience professionally designing, building, and shipping software.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript & TypeScript either on Node.js or the browser.
• Hands-on expertise with modern React development using functional components and hooks.
• Solid understanding of semantic HTML and CSS.
• Experience working with fine-tuning app observability, adding instrumentation and tools to measure app performance and health.
• Experience with writing automated tests (e.g., Selenium, Jest, Jasmine).
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
