ETL Tester - Azure, MS Stack

Take accountability of ensuring the successful execution and validation of ETL processes within an Azure-based data environment. You will be responsible for testing ETL processes to ensure data integrity, quality, and alignment with business requirements.

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Azure ETL Tester to join a leading financial services organisation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution and validation of ETL processes within an Azure-based data environment. This is a key position within the data engineering team.



Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of ETL Testing by developing data assurance frameworks and methodologies to ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organisation
• Develop comprehensive test plans, including test cases, scripts, and scenarios based on business requirements and technical specifications
• Implement automated testing solutions for ETL workflows in an Azure environment
• Ensure that data is correctly transformed and loaded into the data warehouse or data lakes, validating data consistency across multiple data sources.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that data requirements are met and quality assurance standards are upheld.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing within cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced skills in SQL for writing queries to validate data, perform data comparisons, and analyze datasets.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g. Selenium, TOSCA, Cucumber etc) to automate test cases.
• Experience in validating data quality, transformation logic, data mapping, and business rules.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams and business stakeholders, clearly documenting defects and test results.
