Corporate M&A (4+ PQE) - Senior Associate

Current opportunities at top-tier, mid-tier and specialist boutique level for corporate lawyers with solid experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or ECM work.

The Firms
We are currently recruiting for the corporate teams of numerous extremely reputable firms across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Opportunities are available at both top-tier, mid-tier and specialist boutique level for corporate lawyers with at least 4 years PQE up to senior Senior Associate level.

The Roles
Responsibilities involved in these roles include the following:

• Acting for clients in unregulated mergers and acquisitions both for private and/or public companies, joint ventures, finance and foreign investment matters, project finance, borrower finance and restructuring.
• Establishing and negotiating joint ventures and similar arrangements, due diligence, merger and acquisition agreements, loan, security, and priority arrangements to complex legislative and advisory work including as relates to Foreign investment and the PPSR regime.

Your experience
Your experience ideally includes:

• You hold at least 4 years PQE in a corporate team ideally in private practice, or alternatively in-house.
• Demonstrate an ability to hit the ground running in terms of understanding general corporate matters, drafting skills, negotiating skills, and running due diligence.
• Experience in public and/or private M&A and/or ECM.
• You possess a demonstrated interest in developing your career as a corporate lawyer.
• You have strong experience in drafting and negotiating agreements, providing complex legal advice, and developing long-term relationships with clients.
• You demonstrate initiative and proactively approach work, managing your own workload to meet deadlines while operating efficiently with a team.
