Finance Associate

We are working on an exciting banking & finance opportunity for an Associate to join a global firm, based in the Sydney office. The position involves collaborating with Partners and other seniors on intricate debt financing deals, encompassing a variety of financial transactions both domestically and globally.

This firm is recognised for its expertise in banking and finance law, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors. The team advises market-leading borrowers, lenders and sponsors with their debt portfolios and major transactions and the matters will includes:

  • Bilateral and syndicated lending
  • Acquisition and leveraged finance
  • Debt capital markets and securitisations
  • Asset based lending, receivables finance and trade finance
  • Commercial real estate finance
  • Project finance

About you

To be successful in this role, you will also have the following skills and attributes:

  • Have at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in banking & finance law, either in Australia or a top tier firm in New Zealand;
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to assimilate information quickly and handle multiple priorities under pressure or within tight timeframes;
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high performing team.
