Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial Disputes

You will be joining an established in-house litigation team with a leading financial services company, as a Senior Legal Counsel based in Sydney within a fun, flexible and high-performing environment.

About the Company
The company are a leading Australian financial services company with a strong and established litigation team and strong company focus on flexibility, work life balance and team collaboration and development.


About the Role
Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver commercial, practical, and strategic legal advice on a variety of contentious litigation and whistle-blowing matters
  • Assist the team in developing and executing strategies for major disputes, litigation, and regulatory enforcement activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, peers, and external law firms to ensure disputes are managed effectively and business operations remain uninterrupted
  • Prepare comprehensive legal research, advice, and analysis across diverse legal topics to support case management and decision-making


About You
You have:

  • +7PQE with relevant legal qualifications and current unrestricted practising certificate
  • Strong experience with dispute resolution and commercial litigation
  • Experience within a reputable private practice firm and/or in-house experience
