Senior Legal Counsel - Technology

You will be joining a industry leading Big 4 Bank as a Senior Legal Counsel focusing on technology, data, privacy and general commercial legal work within a growing and high-performing team based in Melbourne.

About the Role
Responsibilities include:

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on technology-related matters, including IT contracts, software licensing, and digital initiatives.
• Advise on data protection and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with technology vendors and service providers.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging technology and data privacy laws.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, compliance, and business units, to address legal issues and mitigate risks.
• Develop and deliver training programs on legal and regulatory requirements related to technology and data privacy.

About You
You have:

• 5-10PQE with current practising certificate and qualifications
• Experience within a top-tier law firm
• Strong technology, data and/or privacy experience
