Associate - Banking & Finance

A leading national law firm is seeking a talented Banking & Finance Associate to join its well regarded practice in Melbourne or Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance lawyer looking to work on high quality, complex transactions within a collaborative and well resourced national platform.

This role is suited to an Associate with 3–6 years’ post-admission experience in banking and finance. You will gain exposure to a broad range of transactions, including:

  • Corporate and syndicated lending
  • Acquisition and leveraged finance
  • Property and development finance
  • Project finance and infrastructure
  • Funds and structured finance transactions
  • Refinancings, restructures, and amendments

    You will be involved in all stages of transactions, from structuring and due diligence through to drafting, negotiation, and completion.

    About You

    You will ideally have:
  • 3–6 years’ PQE in banking and finance
  • Experience acting for lenders and/or borrowers
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Commercial judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage matters in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
