About the Client
Our client is a market leading Big 4 Bank with a strong focus on its growth strategy. You would be responsible for supporting the Australian business and other locations across the Asia Pacific region. Due to the demands from the Royal Commission there is need for a dedicated Litigation team to meet deadlines and targets.
Key Role Responsibilities
The role is part of the wider Dispute Resolution team but is focused on the Royal Commission response unit. You will provide advice to key stakeholders and manage dispute resolution for the bank. The work will focus on: responsible lending; consumer banking; credit cards; car loans; superannuation; financial advice.
Key Role Requirements
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential legal issues, providing business-orientated solutions and working with a range of clients. We are seeking a lawyer who is a team player, but is able to work independently and assess risks across a variety of litigation matters.
You will have:
- 4-10 PQE experience;
- Admitted as a Solicitor of Australia;
- Top Tier or Mid Tier Private Practice background;
- Commercial Litigation background;
- Strong exposure to Financial Services;
- The drive and willingness to meet demands;
- Strong people skills.
