SENIOR ASSOCIATE / ASSOCIATE (COMMERCIAL LITIGATION) – SYDNEY / MELBOURNE

An exciting opportunity has arisen at a reputable law firm whose brand is highly regarded. Due to strong business growth and expansion plans, the firm is hiring for its Commercial Litigation division.

To succeed in this role, you must have the thirst and drive for complex disputes work, be diligent and determined to succeed, and have good organisational and interpersonal skills.

About the Senior Associate / Associate (Commercial Litigation) Role:
Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will be handling a diverse portfolio of commercial litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will provide strategic advice to corporate clients and high-net worth individuals.
• Handle a diverse portfolio of commercial litigation matters including areas of contractual and corporate disputes, regulatory investigations, building & construction, insolvency, and property.
• Drafting of pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and court papers alike.
• Brief counsels, client management, witnesses and attending to court.

Key Requirements:
• Admitted as a solicitor with practising rights in Australia.
• Between 2 and 10 years of PQE in dispute resolution.
• Experience practising in Sydney and /or Melbourne and willingness to practice in any one of these jurisdictions.
• Good academics.
• Possess sound technical knowledge on court procedures and rules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
