SENIOR ASSOCIATE / ASSOCIATE (COMMERCIAL LITIGATION) – BRISBANE

Our client is a reputable and established multi-service law firm in Australia looking to grow its dispute resolution offering in Brisbane and have set out for a Senior Associate / Associate to join their Brisbane office.

To succeed in this role, you are a commercial litigator with experience practising in Brisbane, Australia and have been involved in complex and broad areas of disputes.

About the Senior Associate / Associate (Commercial Litigation) Role:
Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will be handling a diverse portfolio of commercial litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:
• You will provide strategic advice to corporate clients and high-net worth individuals.
• Handle a diverse portfolio of commercial litigation matters including areas of contractual and corporate disputes, regulatory investigations, building & construction, insolvency, and property.
• Drafting of pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and court papers alike.
• Brief counsels, client management, witnesses and attending to court.

Key Requirements:
• Admitted as a solicitor with practising rights in Australia.
• Between 2 and 10 years of PQE in dispute resolution.
• Experience practising in Queensland is preferred (candidates with interstate disputes experience who is keen on relocating to Brisbane is also welcome).
• Good academics.
• Possess sound technical knowledge on court procedures and rules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
