Associate / Senior Associate - Family Law

The Role

You will work closely with senior lawyers and manage your own files, including:

• Advising clients across all areas of family law
• Managing property settlements, parenting matters, and financial agreements
• Drafting court documents, affidavits, and submissions
• Appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
• Managing files from initial advice through to resolution
• Maintaining regular and empathetic client communication
• Mentoring junior lawyers where appropriate

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Admission as an Australian legal practitioner
• Approximately 3–8 years’ PQE in family law
• Strong technical family law experience
• Excellent drafting and advocacy skills
• A client focused and emotionally intelligent approach
• The ability to manage matters autonomously with appropriate support
• A collaborative mindset and interest in long term career progression
