Senior Associate - Major Projects
A leading national law firm is seeking a talented Major Projects & Infrastructure Associate to join its highly regarded practice in Melbourne or Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to work on complex, high-profile projects that shape Australia’s infrastructure and energy landscape. The team advises government and private sector clients on some of the country’s most significant transport, energy, resources, and social infrastructure projects.
This role is suited to an Associate with 3–6 years’ post-admission experience in major projects, construction, or infrastructure. You will gain exposure to a broad range of work, including:
• Major infrastructure and energy projects
• Public-private partnerships (PPPs) and government procurement
• Project delivery models including D&C, EPC, and alliancing
• Front-end construction and project documentation
• Risk allocation, contract negotiation, and project structuring
• Advising on regulatory, commercial, and delivery issues throughout the project lifecycle
You will be involved from early project planning and procurement through to delivery and completion.

About You
You will ideally have:
• 3–6 years’ PQE in major projects, infrastructure, or construction law
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex project documentation
• Strong commercial judgment and risk awareness
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in fast paced environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A collaborative, proactive approach and interest in large-scale projects
