Principal Communications and Marketing Officer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead enterprise-level communication and marketing processes, projects, and program activities within a public sector environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive communication and marketing services to a range of departmental clients and stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Lead enterprise level communication and marketing processes, projects, and program activities
• Deliver high quality, responsive communication and marketing services to a range of departmental clients and stakeholders
• Develop and implement innovative communication and marketing strategies (internal and external) to support the department
• Prepare content and materials for a range of departmental channels including publications, websites, social media
• Identify, prepare and distribute departmental good news via various channels and media
• Provide policy advice in implementing communication strategies
• Prepare briefings and correspondence for senior executives

What you bring:

• Proven experience in leading enterprise level communication and marketing processes
• Ability to deliver high quality, responsive communication services to a range of clients
• Experience in developing innovative communication strategies (internal and external)
• Strong skills in preparing content for various channels including publications, websites, social media
• Ability to identify good news stories to share across media platforms
• Experience in providing policy advice on communication strategies
