Senior PR Executive

• Contribute to the Firm's Media Relations Strategy by assisting in the development and implementation of comprehensive plans for external communications

Responsibilities

• Initiate and build relationships with key national, business and legal press
• Handle media enquiries for the firm and act as a spokesperson
• Proactively pursue opportunities to maximise coverage by positioning partners as commentators on relevant issues
• Draft and issue press announcements and manage media briefings for the wider firm
• Coach partners to improve their communication and foster relationships between partners and key members of the press
• Keep partners abreast of trending situations with regards to the media
• Work closely with the Global Head of Media Relations and the global PR team to ensure all activities are consistent globally
• Monitor and evaluate coverage

Requirements

• An Academic or Professional Qualification - such as a Bachelor Degree
• 3-5 years experience in external comms, preferably from within a corporate environment
• Knowledge of financial and business media; ideally the legal press
• Experience within an international organisation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• High level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
• The ability to work in Sydney's CBD
