Communications Advisor

What you'll do:

As a Communications Advisor at Brisbane Markets Limited, you will be instrumental in shaping the voice of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve crafting engaging content for various platforms, managing media relations, collaborating with different teams within the organisation to maintain consistency in messaging, and leading crisis communication efforts when required. You will also monitor communication performance metrics to provide valuable insights for continuous improvement. Your role will extend beyond external communications as you will also support internal initiatives aimed at fostering a positive organisational culture.

Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to enhance brand visibility.
Craft compelling content for press releases, articles, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
Manage media relations, including responding to media inquiries and building strong relationships with journalists and influencers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Monitor and analyse communication performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Lead crisis communication efforts when needed, ensuring timely and effective responses.
Support the development of internal communication initiatives to foster a positive organisational culture.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Communications Advisor role at Brisbane Markets Limited brings a strong background in communications, marketing or public relations. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with your attention to detail will enable you to create compelling content that resonates with our audience. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders will be crucial in managing corporate communications effectively. While knowledge of the fruit and vegetable industry would be advantageous, it is not essential.

Strong background in communications, marketing, or public relations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail in content creation.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
Experience in managing corporate communications, including publications and media releases.
Knowledge of the fruit and vegetable industry or a related sector is advantageous but not essential.
