Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Architect, you will be responsible for developing thorough architectures for next generation voice solutions that provide a complete, consolidated design for integrating with Trader Voice (including Hosted Unigy) and customer SBC but also any Third-Party voice solutions and operational support models that will further enhance the company position as a premier specialized financial industry next generation / SIP voice solutions provider.
In this capacity you will have the following duties:
- Define overall architecture including direct technical interaction internally and with vendors / partners who provide elements of the overall solution. This includes design review and operational readiness testing.
- Develop full understanding of the IPC products (ie. Unigy, Connexus, Direct Connect, EVS) and partner solutions (XOP, Globility, Algomi, etc.) for the purpose of end-to-end design.
- Work closely with OSS / NMS teams to ensure solutions are fully manageable including potential integration into existing IPC and/or partner systems or specification of new system requirements where applicable.
- Conceive Proof-of-Concept tests for VoIP technology-driven designs including direct involvement and/or supervision of testing resources.
- Support VoIP / SIP integration with customers (SBC/MGW) and partners’ voice solutions.
- Create training collateral and provide knowledge transfer to operations for the design and support of the overall solution.
Skills and Experience:
To meet the challenges of this role, you will be bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience and possess the following skills and knowledge:
- 3+ years of Voice (VoIP), SIP more specifically but also TDM / PBX protocols.
- Certifications a plus, especially Voice certifications (ie. CCIE or CCNA) and Security certifications.
- Experience in technical development/architecture and/or operational support departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- In-depth knowledge of specific financial services vertical telecommunications requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of specific Trader Voice / Trading Communication Systems.
- Understanding of Financial Extranet Services.
- Understanding of regulatory issues related to financial services a plus.
