This multi disciplined organisation at the forefront of the property development and construction industry, are now recruiting a Mechanical Engineer. This organisation are looking for a strong Site Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering background to join their team. Candidates with experience working on high rise projects will be advantageous.
Key Responcibilites:
- Establish, report and follow up all on non-conformance activities
- Manage and resolve all engineering issues as they are risen by clients, owners and project staff
- Assist Contracts Manager/Administrators to prepare sub contract packages
- Assist with the integration of services and design co-ordination during project planning
- Review design to assess and ensure compliance with requirements of regulatory legislation
- Enforce the relevant safety rules at site and make sure personal protective equipment is worn as and where required by the staff under their responsibility
- Undertake programming, planning and forecasting to ensure construction activities take place within overall construction program
- Attend coordination meetings as required
- Conduct daily briefing with site team leaders and monitor progress, identify, follow-up and report on the work progress in order to anticipate any possible delays with regards to planned tasks
- Co-ordinate the activities of design management and provide a link between the design and construction to ensure the buildability of a design
- Take immediate corrective action to avoid any cumulative effect of such deviation and recover the delay to finish the task in due time
- To assist Project Manager/ Site Manager in the supervision and management of construction activities to assigned project
- Assist in the planning and sequencing of the construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan/ services program
- Conduct regular LPI/QA inspections and assess the work performance done by all subcontractors
- Evaluate and resolve any discrepancies and problems arising during construction which affect the quality of works performed
- Coordinate the handing over of completed works to client and completion of the necessary rectification works
- Assist in the management of the installation of building and critical services to ensure compliance with local regulatory bodies and the building code
- Maintain the RFI and document control registers
Key Requirments:
• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer with a solid background in Engineering, Construction and delivery process
• Degree (preferable) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering recognised by PE board
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia
• Possess sound understanding of drawings, interface between different objects and systems
• Possess understanding of business-critical scenarios in terms of site management and safety
• Good team player with excellent communication skills
• Possess initiative and customer focus
