Contract Manager

NSW Government Agency is looking for an experienced Contract / Commercial Manager with extensive post contract experience to join their team.

• Parramatta (Hybrid)
• 12mth contract
• Pays up to $1,050 a day + super

Key responsibilities:

• Manage contract development for Major Projects during transaction period, lead commercial work stream during transaction, review scope of work and other contract documents for consistency and remove ambiguity from contractual documents.
• Oversee implementation and management of enterprise wide contract strategies.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships within the nominated portfolio.
• Lead commercial/contract negotiation prior signing the contract.
• Lead commercial outcome of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process.
• Collate finalised contract inputs and seek approval for execution.
• Assist with drafting, finalise, and seek approval on Contract Management Plans
• Oversee and resolve contractor issues as required.
• Manage the review and approval of all variations occurring for compliance with contract and commercial validity in line with delegations.
• Provide strategies for dealing with contractual issues and variations as they are raised.
• Manage closure and processing of final payment claims Contract continuous improvement.

About you:

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline like Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar
• Proven Contract / Commercial Management experience across major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience working client side, managing contracts upwards of $80m.
• Excellent communication & engagement skills
