Our client, PROK, is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in their organisation. This isn't just a position; it's an opportunity to influence the operational efficiency and success of the company. Your contribution will be significant in implementing the right processes and practices across all levels. You'll have the chance to work closely with the GM and management team, ensuring that organisational processes remain legally compliant while incorporating new technologies and business processes when necessary.
What you'll do:
As an Operations Manager at PROK, you will be tasked with formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources, and ensuring compliance across two facilities in Western Australia. Your broad knowledge base in production processes, quality control, inventory management, logistics, and customer service will be crucial for identifying issues and implementing solutions quickly.
With over 100 staff in their Bayswater facility, you will play an integral part in driving best practice manufacturing to ensure operations are carried out in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner. You will have two direct reports within the production team with multiple indirect reports across the production and warehouse team.
• Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Work closely with GM and management team to set and implement policies, procedures, and systems.
• Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
• Manage relationships with key operations vendors.
• Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
• Communicate customer issues with the operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience.
• Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Operations Manager role at PROK will bring proven experience in a similar role along with a deep understanding of OEM Manufacturing. Your strong production background will allow you to implement best practice strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively manage teams while your leadership ability will ensure you can drive the team towards achieving organisational goals.
• Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role within an OEM Manufacturing environment
• Experience budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with business and financial principles
• Lean Six Sigma
• Kaizen – continuous improvement
