Our client, a global leader with strong roots in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Quality & Safety Manager. This role offers the opportunity to take accountability for all health, safety, environment, and quality tasks within a thriving and innovative company. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a safety-focused culture and driving process improvements in a heavy manufacturing environment. This full-time permanent position is based in Perth.

What you'll do:
As Quality & Safety Manager, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the high standards of health, safety, environment, and quality that our client is known for. You will develop and implement robust safety policies while coordinating both internal and external HSEQ audits. Your ability to investigate incidents thoroughly will be crucial in recommending effective solutions that enhance workplace safety. Furthermore, you will play a key role in promoting a 'safety-first' culture through regular training sessions.

• Develop, implement, and update safety and quality policies and procedures.
• Be responsible for health, safety, environment and compliance related tasks, systems, procedures, and strategy.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external HSEQ audits as directed.
• Assist and support the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for the business unit.
• Coordinate HSEQ documentation to relevant personnel including safety plans, SOPS, risk registers, training registers etc.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to understand the cause. Recommend realistic solutions and drive the execution of necessary changes.
• Promote a ‘safety-first’ culture by conducting regular training and improvement sessions.

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Quality & Safety Manager role brings a wealth of experience from a HSEQ-related position within a heavy manufacturing environment. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the business. A strong passion for delivering safety coupled with your proactive attitude will set you apart. Your computer literacy skills will be essential in managing various tasks efficiently.

• Completion of Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety or similar.
• Minimum 2 years in a HSEQ related position, ideally in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• A strong passion for delivering safety and quality.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
• Computer literacy skills and competent with MS Office. Previous experience with PRONTO would be highly advantageous.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Direct experience with conveyors and components would be a distinct advantage.
