This leading independent miner own and operate a significant portfolio of assets in Australia. They have numerous underground and open cut coal mines on the East Coast and are advancing a pipeline of green and brownfield projects. The business has a very strong focus on developing its underground leadership and technical capability. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mining Engineering Manager and experienced Development Superintendent for a key asset.
The Mining Engineering Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the implementation, control and review of safe underground mining operations in accordance with current WHS systems and relevant statutory legislation.
The Development Superintendent is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the mine development services. You will be an experienced leader, with the ability to drive change and make a difference.
To be successful in your application, you will have recent leadership experience in the Australian coal industry and familiarity with the operation of a longwall mine. The ideal candidates will also possess:
- A Degree in mining engineering or related discipline
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop solid relationships with peers and management
- Statutory Mine Manager’s certificate (Mining Engineering Manager)
