Control & Risk Assurance Specialist

You will be joining an established natural resources company as a control & risk assurance specialist within a dynamic and growing team with a strong focus on development and progression.

About the role:

Responsibilities include:
· Develop and maintain financial control policies and risk frameworks (e.g., RCMs, assurance testing).
· Conduct risk assessments and support ICFR oversight and compliance.
· Drive root-cause analysis and implement practical remediation measures.
· Use data analytics to enhance assurance and control effectiveness.
· Update risk frameworks in response to business and regulatory changes.
· Oversee management's control attestations and monitor remediation efforts.
· Promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.

About the you:

You have:
· 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, internal controls, and assurance.
· Proven track record across first, second, and third lines of defense, including audit.
· Skilled in designing and implementing internal control frameworks (SOx, COSO, COBIT).
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or related field.
· Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Experienced in working with global teams and navigating complex regulations.
