The primary responsibility for the Project Controls Specialist is to work with multiple stakeholders on supporting the team to carry out project control functions, with a particular focus on the development, review and analysis of the detailed schedules and estimates of the project in accordance with Project Management Framework.
You will bring:
We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist able to assist with the establishment of a master PDIP schedule to ensure that the project is completed within agreed upon time and within budget while also leading the implementation and application of the endorsed Project Management Framework standards and practices. We are also looking for someone who will provide the project management team with an integrated, accurate, and timely whole-of-project advice, information, and capability to drive achievement of project objectives. We are also looking for someone who will contribute to monthly reports, review execution strategies, construction methodologies and risk registers while capturing project data and lessons learned to proactively facilitate these in future projects. Your ability to review cost estimates and schedules relevant to the PDIP from contractors, vendors, or internal groups, and provide an independent assessment on their quality and accuracy will ensure your success in the role.
In addition, you will have:
- A minimum 5-10 years’ industry experience in a complex and diverse environment as it relates to infrastructure planning and delivery.
- You will have a Diploma, STEM degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience with Primavera 6 (P6) and MS Project.
- Experience with cost estimating and scheduling on major projects.
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems and processes for cost estimating and scheduling.
- Familiarity with program and project management frameworks, including gated processes and deliverables.
- Analysing, problem-solving, and research skills including the ability to identify key risks and issues and provide practical solutions for their resolution.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
