This role offers the chance to shape claims strategy, mentor junior staff, and enhance policies and procedures within a vibrant team environment. Lead a dynamic Construction Warranty Insurance claims team
Shape claims strategy and enhance policies and procedures

What you'll do:
As a National Claims Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Construction Warranty Insurance claims team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting comprehensive inspections of construction sites and buildings while ensuring strict compliance with Australian building codes. You will be at the forefront of evaluating Construction Warranty Insurance claims across various regions. Your ability to proficiently use assessment tools will be crucial in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. You will stay abreast of local and national building regulations while maintaining relevant certifications. Your strong written communication skills will enable you to prepare detailed assessment reports that clearly explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you investigate the root cause of construction defects. As a leader, you will drive strategy for the CWI product while mentoring junior staff members.
Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites and buildings, identifying and assessing defects
Evaluate Construction Warranty Insurance claims across South Australia, NSW, and Victoria
Proficiently use assessment tools and software, interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Stay updated on local and national building regulations, standards, and warranty guidelines in Australia
Ensure adherence to service standards, company guidelines, delegated authority, and SLAs
Review and prepare detailed assessment reports, explaining technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Investigate root causes of construction defects, recommending practical remedial actions
Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve the best possible outcomes
Lead strategy for the CWI product, contributing to policy development and system improvements
Mentor junior claims controllers, enhancing their skills and performance
What you bring:
As a National Claims Manager, you will bring a wealth of technical expertise and analytical skills to our team. Your deep understanding of Australian construction methods, materials, and standards will be instrumental in ensuring accurate defect identification and assessment. Your qualifications in construction or related fields will enable you to ensure compliance with Australian building codes. You will demonstrate proficiency in using assessment tools and software, interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision. Your comprehensive understanding of legal aspects related to construction defects and warranty claims under Australian law will be invaluable. Your strong written communication skills will enable you to prepare detailed and clear assessment reports. You will also have the ability to explain technical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Relevant degree or diploma in construction or related field
Ability to evaluate Construction Warranty Insurance claims accurately
Proficiency in using assessment tools and software
Comprehensive understanding of legal aspects related to construction defects and warranty claims under Australian law

Ability to explain technical findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders
