What you'll do:

As a Principal Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in shaping the procurement strategy within the organisation. Your role will involve applying your procurement expertise to deliver solutions that create value for both the government and business. You will be responsible for facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices, developing guidance materials, and evaluating methodologies to ensure cost efficiencies. Your informed understanding of the housing and broader social services sector will enable you to source procurement solutions that align with agency business goals.

Apply procurement expertise to deliver required solutions
Undertake better procurement practice in strategy, governance, management, operations and technology
Facilitate changes to traditional procurement practices and develop guidance materials
Evaluate methodology to determine value for money in principles-based procurement
Develop an informed understanding of the housing and broader social services sector requirements
Use evidence-based tools to analyse business data and information


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Principal Procurement Officer role is someone who can bring innovative ideas to the table while working flexibly without supervision. Your strong decision-making skills coupled with your ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders will be key in delivering successful outcomes. Adherence to legislative frameworks and ethical standards is paramount in this role. Your specialist knowledge in procurement will be highly valued.
