Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to conduct and support various procurement and contract management activities, primarily relating to information communication and technology (ICT). The successful candidate will play a key role in meeting the operational objectives of a fast-paced service environment. This position provides a unique chance to contribute to the development, implementation, and review of corporate procurement plans, policies, procedures, and other supporting documentation. What you'll do:

As a Senior Procurement Officer, your role will be pivotal in conducting and supporting various procurement activities within the Infrastructure and Procurement Branch. You will lead the end-to-end procurement process, from planning to awarding contracts. Your excellent analytical skills will be utilised in conducting thorough internal demand and external supply market analysis. You will also develop tender documentation and oversee evaluation processes. Your strong leadership skills will shine as you supervise other team members while managing multiple concurrent projects. Your ability to build relationships will be crucial in undertaking internal and external networking.

Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Undertake sourcing activities for goods and services with a medium to high level of value, risk, and complexity.
Conduct thorough internal demand and external supply market analysis.
Develop tender documentation and conduct various tender processes.
Undertake contract management activities, including contract planning, administration, reporting.
Manage the integrity of procurement and contract management data and reporting systems.
Manage multiple concurrent procurement projects by exercising a high degree of judgment.
Research and prepare complex briefs, reports, and correspondence on a range of procurement-related projects and issues.
Supervise and mentor other procurement team members.
Undertake internal and external networking and relationship management.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Procurement Officer role brings extensive experience in government procurement processes for goods and services with a medium to high level of value, risk, complexity. Your high-level skills, knowledge, and understanding of government procurement and contract management policies will be essential in this role. You possess well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation, and collaboration skills. Your conceptual, analytical, problem-solving skills have been proven to deliver innovative outcomes. You are capable of managing a significant volume of work in a dynamic environment and have a strong commitment to the delivery of quality client service.

High-level skills, knowledge, and understanding of government procurement and contract management policies.
Proven experience in government procurement processes for goods and services with a medium to high level of value, risk, complexity.
Well-developed communication, negotiation, consultation, collaboration skills.
Conceptual, analytical, problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver innovative outcomes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplined team.
Capability in managing significant volume of work in dynamic environment.
Strong commitment to delivery of quality client service.
Sound understanding with Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework.
