Category Analyst

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for category analysis and strategic decision-making? Our client is currently seeking a talented Category Analyst to join a dynamic team in Adelaide. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable business growth through actionable insights, pricing strategies, and demand planning support.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct category performance analysis and provide market insights to inform pricing decisions and new product development (NPD).
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for SKU optimisation and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with the Manager - supply planning to support demand planning processes, including forecasting based on historical data and promotional impacts.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across category management and planning functions.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to influence decisions related to category performance, pricing strategies, and NPD alignment.
• Prepare board-level reports on category analysis, pricing outcomes, and SKU optimisation.

About you: To excel in this role, you will ideally have:

• A degree qualification in business, supply chain, or a related field.
• Demonstrated of experience in category analysis, supply planning, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and ERP system experience.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to interpret data and influence stakeholders effectively.
• A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
