Manager, Procurement and Risk
The Manager, Procurement and Risk plays a crucial role in ensuring the Julia Farr group has access to quality suppliers that support its operations, while managing risks effectively. In this position, you will identify requirements for external goods and services, lead the development of robust IT systems, oversee contractual relationships with key suppliers, and manage risk throughout the organisation.

Your expertise in risk management will see you identifying potential risks, implementing appropriate mitigations, inform boarding members of key risk issues, conducting risk training for relevant staff, and securing necessary insurance coverage. Additionally, you will ensure that effective administrative processes are in place through the support you provide to the Administration Team Leader.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify requirements for external provision of goods and services to meet the needs of the organisation, staff and stakeholders
  • Lead the ongoing requirements of robust IT systems including managing the contractual relationship with the IT service provider
  • Commission and monitor contractual relationships with key suppliers of business durables, consumables, equipment and services
  • Manage risk across the organisation, ensuring risks are identified, appropriate mitigations are implemented, board members are briefed on key risk matters and communication and risk training is conducted for relevant staff improving risk awareness across the organisation
  • Procure and administer insurance coverage for the organisation ensuring appropriate cover is in place.
  • Oversee effective administrative processes are in place and provide line support to the Administrative Team Leader.

Key requirements:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual with the following qualifications:

  • Risk management: Experience in risk management, including engaging operational colleagues in identifying and managing risk.
  • Procurement: Experience in planning and directing procurement activities and managing supplier relationships.
  • IT leadership: Skilled in leading IT processes, procurement, service provider management, and implementing best practice.
  • Expertise in office administration: Solid understanding of general office administrative processes, including telephone systems, email, and records management.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Proven experience liaising with stakeholders, and preparing written correspondence, reports, and resources.
  • Team and independent work: Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
