What you'll do:

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement strategy of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the long-term needs of the business. You will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring optimal efficiency in business delivery. Your ability to maintain strong contractual relationships with vendors while driving supplier rationalisation will be key to your success in this role.

  • Lead the development of procurement and contracting strategy, identifying preferred types of contracts considering project scope and risks.
  • Complete supplier due diligence and integration activities for spend requirements.
  • Implement procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Drive supplier and product/service rationalisation through cross-functional reviews.
  • Perform procurement reporting and analysis of management information to identify potential value improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors.
  • Facilitate implementation of procurement change initiatives that improve business performance.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager position brings significant experience in procurement within either the public sector or a corporate services environment. You possess an undergraduate degree in business/finance or a similar field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education/training and experience. Your extensive knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and best practices will be crucial in this role. You have proven abilities in prioritising work effectively, managing activities efficiently, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • Significant demonstrated procurement experience in either the public sector or a corporate services environment.
  • Ability to generate a strong sense of team spirit, co-operation, and collaboration within and across teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and procurement best practices.
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and manage activities effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workplace obligations promoting a safe, healthy, equitable, diverse, and respectful workplace.
