Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Coordinator to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide advice and support in the negotiation and administration of medium to high risk/value purchasing, contracts, and general procurement requirements. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a supportive environment that values working independently, commitment to a fairly green environment and continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Procurement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providing advice and support in various procurement activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include administering and coordinating market sourcing processes, negotiating contracts, maintaining the Contract Management System and monitoring supplier performance. You will also be involved in vendor management, including onboarding new vendors, rolling out a new ERP system and resolving disputes. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cost reduction strategies by analysing business spend.
• Provide advice and guidance on raising requisitions and Purchase Orders
• Administer and coordinate the end-to-end market sourcing process for medium to high-risk procurement activities
• Negotiate medium to high-risk/value contracts
• Assist in the implementation and administration of medium to high-risk/value contracts
• Maintain and update the Contract Management System
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of suppliers against contract deliverables
• Coordinate the onboarding and approval of new vendors in the Procurement System
• Facilitate the resolution of vendor disputes
• Analyse business spend and strategize cost reduction and consolidated contracting opportunities
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Procurement Coordinator role brings a wealth of experience in contract, procurement, and tendering procedures. You have demonstrated your ability to improve procurement outcomes through your analytical skills. Your proven track record of achieving cost reductions shows your commitment towards efficiency. With excellent communication skills, you are able to effectively negotiate within your scope of responsibilities. Your attention to detail complements your sound numerical skills. Lastly, your ability to prioritise tasks ensures that you can manage your workload effectively while meeting deadlines.
• Experience in medium to high-risk contract, procurement and tendering procedures
• Demonstrated ability to assist in improving procurement outcomes
• Proven experience in achieving cost reductions and savings targets
• High level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to apply effective problem solving, analytical and negotiating skills within scope of responsibilities
• Sound numerical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise, control workload and meet deadlines
