Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies that deliver the right products and services to fit the longer-term needs of the business.

PROCUREMENT MANAGER



Salary: 130,000 – 150,000 + 15.5% super

Location: Sydney CBD



Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies
Provide valuable insights to support management decision-making
Based in Sydney CBD

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing useful, meaningful, efficient, and representative information and insights to support management decision-making. This role is based in the Sydney CBD.



What you'll do:

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement strategy of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the long-term needs of the business. Additionally, you will drive supplier rationalisation through cross-functional reviews and perform detailed procurement reporting.

  • Lead the development of procurement and contracting strategy
  • Complete supplier due diligence and integration activities for spend requirements
  • Implement procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value for money outcomes
  • Drive supplier and product/service rationalisation through cross-functional reviews
  • Perform procurement reporting and analysis to identify potential value improvement opportunities
  • Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors

What you bring:

The ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in strategic procurement within either the public sector or a corporate services environment. Your ability to generate a strong sense of team spirit, cooperation, and collaboration within and across teams sets you apart. Furthermore, your proven ability to prioritise work effectively will be crucial in managing a medium to large portfolio of spend.

  • Category management experience within Marketing and Events
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Finance with previous work experience in a procurement and contract management role
  • Significant demonstrated procurement experience in either the public sector or a corporate services environment
  • Ability to generate a strong sense of team spirit, co-operation, and collaboration within and across teams
  • Extensive knowledge of the procurement lifecycle and best practices
  • Proven ability to prioritise work effectively
