This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of procurement across a globally recognised organisation, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) while driving best practice and value for money

Main Responsibilities:

As the Head of Procurement, you will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s approach to sourcing goods and services. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with senior leaders across departments to understand their requirements, designing robust procurement strategies that balance compliance with innovation, and leading negotiations that secure optimal outcomes for the business.

  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on all aspects of procurement and contract management, including participating in evaluation panels for major projects and delivering regular training sessions to staff.
  • Lead and manage the annual procurement programme, overseeing urgent, sensitive, or high-profile procurement's such as global media services tenders worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Direct commercial negotiations with prospective partners to secure favourable terms that align with organisational objectives and ensure sustainable relationships.
  • Guide and coordinate the work programme for the procurement team by providing effective leadership, mentoring, and capacity-building initiatives.

What you bring:

You will thrive in this business by bringing extensive experience gained in senior advisory roles focused on procurement strategy development, negotiation tactics, contract management excellence. Your background may include exposure to government panel arrangements or hands-on involvement in marketing/advertising sectors which would further enhance your suitability. Familiarity with AusTender or similar online portals used for managing procurement's/reporting is highly desirable.
