Process Analyst

* $800 - $950 per day, inc super/+GST * 6 month day rate contract, very high chance of extension * Hybrid working, CBD location, Melbourne

The Role:

The Process Analyst will play a key role in analysing, mapping, and designing both as-is and to-be business and system processes across the finance and payroll functions as they transform. They will lead process discovery workshops, document data flows, and ensure that new processes are robust, efficient, and aligned to transformation objectives.

The successful candidate will also collaborate with downstream teams – including Change Management, Development, and Testing – to ensure that process changes are accurately implemented and successfully embedded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the documentation and analysis of as-is and to-be business processes.
  • Facilitate process workshops with business stakeholders to capture requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Design and document system processes and data flows to support the SAP transformation.
  • Produce detailed process maps using BPMN within Signavio (essential).
  • Support downstream teams through change impact analysis, validation, and testing preparation.
  • Apply robust process improvement principles to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Process Analyst or Business Process Specialist within finance and payroll transformation programs.
  • Strong proficiency in BPMN and Signavio (mandatory).
  • Experience supporting large-scale SAP transformations (exposure to Coupa or Oracle also considered).
  • Sound understanding of business process design, data flows, and system interdependencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or practical experience (preferred).
  • Prior experience within the education sector or a similarly complex organisation is desirable.
