Business Analyst - Finance & Payroll
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst specialising in Finance and Payroll to join a highly respected organisation based in Melbourne. What you'll do:
As a Business Analyst Finance and Payroll, your day-to-day activities will involve engaging with diverse stakeholders to understand their operational challenges and aspirations. By leveraging your expertise in finance ERP and payroll HCM systems, you will help design solutions that streamline processes while upholding strict compliance standards.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments to gather requirements and translate these into detailed functional and technical specifications for finance and payroll systems.
- Utilise your deep understanding of finance and payroll toolsets to provide expert guidance during the configuration and implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and HCM (Human Capital Management) modules.
- Support external implementation partners by ensuring system configurations meet business objectives while maintaining alignment with regulatory standards.
What you bring:
To excel as a Business Analyst Finance and Payroll in this transformative role, you will bring substantial hands-on experience navigating complex enterprise environments where finance ERP or payroll HCM implementations are central.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst managing end-to-end SDLC implementations within finance ERP or payroll HCM environments—ideally with exposure to SAP product suites.
- Comprehensive domain knowledge of finance operations (including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, invoicing) as well as payroll functions within complex organisations.
- Proficiency in data analysis techniques using reporting tools to extract insights that inform decision-making around process improvements.
- Hands-on experience working with cloud-based ERP/HCM products; familiarity with modern ways of working such as Agile methodologies including backlog management and sprint planning.
