What you'll do:

As a Senior Business Analyst based in Sydney, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of implementation projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you engaging directly with clients to uncover their business drivers and operational needs before translating these into actionable plans for delivery. You will collaborate closely with both internal colleagues and external partners across multiple streams of work—facilitating workshops, documenting processes, managing risks, and ensuring that every aspect of the programme aligns with strategic objectives. Your ability to build strong relationships at all levels will be crucial as you guide teams through complex change initiatives. By championing best practices in governance and continuous improvement, you will help create an environment where everyone is focused on achieving outstanding results for clients while supporting one another’s professional development.

  • Consult with clients to understand their strategic objectives, operating models, and unique challenges, ensuring tailored solutions are developed for each implementation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and industry insight during solution discussions, guiding both internal teams and client stakeholders towards effective outcomes.
  • Lead comprehensive analysis across multiple workstreams, facilitating workshops and meetings to define business needs and identify innovative solutions.
  • Document current and future state processes in detail, highlighting opportunities for improvement that align with organisational goals.
  • Produce high-quality business documentation that supports clear communication of requirements and delivery outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proven ability to analyse complex business processes, identify areas for improvement or innovation, and document detailed requirements clearly for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a talent for building trust-based relationships across all levels of management—both internally within matrixed organisations and externally with clients.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities that enable you to present ideas persuasively and facilitate productive discussions among diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management tools such as Jira for tracking progress, managing dependencies, and reporting on milestones is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies as well as highly configurable systems used in investment management (e.g., Charles River, Blackrock Aladdin, Thinkfolio) would be advantageous.
