We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a Commodities team and play a key role in shaping the future of front-office trading systems. This role is ideal for someone who understands how traders work, knows commodities and derivatives inside out and can translate complex trading needs into intuitive, efficient system designs.

If you enjoy working at the intersection of markets, technology and user experience, this is the perfect opportunity!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conducting pre-trade analysis to support front-office decision making — including market reviews, trend analysis, and risk considerations.
  • Designing and enhancing trader-facing screens and workflows that are intuitive, fast, and user-friendly.
  • Building and refining deal masks to ensure accurate and efficient trade capture across a variety of commodities products.
  • Managing the life cycle of trade-related events and ensuring they flow seamlessly through systems and processes.
  • Leveraging your expertise in commodities and derivatives to ensure our trading processes align with best practice and industry standards.
  • Supporting a wide range of trade types and ensuring systems can handle different strategies and structures.
  • Working on integration and mapping between external trading and clearing platforms and internal systems to support straight-through processing.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong product knowledge across commodities — energy, metals, agriculture and related derivatives.
  • Solid understanding of commodity-related asset classes, both physical and financial.
  • Proven experience working with front-office teams and good understanding of trading workflows.
  • Ability to design and enhance user interfaces/screens that improve trader efficiency.
  • Experience developing deal masks and trade capture screens.
  • Strong understanding of trade life cycle events and how they flow through systems.
  • Familiarity with a variety of trade types and how they are processed.
  • Experience leading integration initiatives across multiple teams and systems.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are encouraged to apply.
