Senior BA (Finance & Payroll)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (Finance & Payroll) to support a major digital transformation program within a large education-focused organisation. This role sits within the Digital Change and Transformation team and will play a key part in uplifting finance and payroll processes as part of a broader enterprise-wide transformation initiative.

Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst for Finance & Payroll, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. You will analyse requirements, optimise finance and payroll processes, support ERP and HCM system configuration, and ensure solutions meet both business needs and regulatory standards. This role is crucial to achieving successful system adoption across finance and payroll functions and to supporting the organisation’s broader digital transformation.

You will apply deep functional expertise in finance and payroll systems to guide solution design and support implementation partners during the configuration of Finance ERP and Payroll HCM modules. A key part of the role involves conducting solution testing, coordinating user acceptance testing, and contributing to data migration from legacy systems. You will also support end-user training and provide post-implementation assistance.

To succeed in this position, you will bring proven experience as a Business Analyst with end-to-end SDLC exposure, ideally gained through finance ERP or payroll HCM implementations. Strong domain knowledge of finance and payroll operations, preferably within the education sector, is highly valued. You will have a solid understanding of ERP modules such as GL, AP, AR, Invoicing and Billing, along with payroll-related HCM functionality. Experience with cloud-based ERP and HCM platforms – particularly SAP – is essential.
