Business Analyst
Our Government client is looking for the following position as a contract opportunity. The initial contract will run till July 2026, possibility of extension. The primary objective is to safeguard the integrity of the organisation’s controlled document suite, including policies, technical specifications, and procedures. This role prevents the culture by critically analysing input from business leads to ensure it is operationally sound, commercially viable, and logically consistent.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyse, and quality‑assure controlled documents prior to publication.
- Ensure logical alignment between parent policies and associated child documents, including procedures, technical specifications, and forms.
- Identify and mitigate risks caused by gaps, inconsistencies, or conflicting documentation.
- Reduce post‑publication errors through early intervention and improved draft quality.
- Map and maintain defined relationships between parent and child documents.
- Engage with business leaders and SMEs to challenge superficial updates and ensure sufficient depth and clarity.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of initial drafts submitted by business units.
- Ensure consistency of terminology, branding, standards, and structure across the document suite.
- Assess downstream impacts of changes to parent documents and manage ripple effects across dependent documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong working relationships with busy business leads and subject matter experts.
- Secure genuine buy‑in for document reviews through clear, tailored communication.
- Facilitate productive conversations that balance governance requirements with operational realities.
