An exciting contract opportunity for a Change Manager to join a a Government client, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in the successful adoption of a major digital solution.

As a Change Manager you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your day-to-day responsibilities revolve around supporting the successful adoption of innovative solutions. Your role will involve close collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders as you assess the impacts of upcoming changes on business operations.

By facilitating workshops, preparing targeted communications, coordinating learning activities, and monitoring readiness checkpoints, you will ensure everyone involved feels supported throughout each stage of the transition.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive change impact assessments across various business areas, roles, processes, systems, and behaviours to ensure all potential impacts are identified and addressed.
  • Identify change risks, dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies that inform effective change planning and sequencing throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the creation, maintenance, and reporting of business readiness assessments, readiness checkpoints, and go-live criteria to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Contribute actively to transition planning activities including cutover strategies, hypercare support, and early-life support considerations for new system implementations.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining essential change management artefacts such as Change and Adoption Plans, Business Readiness Checklists, Learning Plans, stakeholder engagement materials, and communication schedules.
  • Support the implementation of change activities aligned with established frameworks and methodologies to promote consistent outcomes across the organisation.
  • Monitor and report on progress of change initiatives by tracking issues and risks while providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders by facilitating workshops, briefings, and other engagement activities that foster trust and collaboration.
  • Prepare, review, and distribute tailored change communications—including visual assets—across multiple channels to enhance awareness and adoption among different audiences.
  • Assist in managing digital communication platforms to support ongoing engagement efforts during the transition period.


We will be looking out for:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar capacity within organisational change or project environments where you have demonstrated your ability to support large-scale transformation initiatives.
  • Proven track record conducting detailed change impact assessments as well as supporting business readiness activities that enable smooth transitions for staff at all levels.
  • Experience operating within government or similarly complex organisational settings where navigating multiple stakeholder interests is essential for success.
  • Poficiency using Microsoft Office applications—particularly PowerPoint—to create engaging presentations and reports tailored for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or e-learning authoring tools enhances your ability to contribute effectively to capability-building initiatives within the team.
  • Competence using software products like SharePoint Online administration tools, Adobe Creative Suite applications, Microsoft Visio diagrams or Viva Engage platforms further strengthens your application.
