5-month Contract, paying up to $68 +Super p/h, Brisbane CBD Our Queensland Government client is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Officer for a 5-month contract to support the delivery of multiple technical initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • You will write clear and comprehensive technical documentation for a variety of digital systems, ensuring all materials are accurate and accessible for stakeholders across the organisation.
  • You will create detailed technical templates that standardise documentation processes and support efficient project delivery throughout the department.
  • You will develop thorough Disaster Recovery Plans that outline procedures for maintaining essential services during unexpected disruptions, safeguarding organisational operations.
  • You will prepare Business Continuity Plans that ensure the organisation can continue functioning smoothly in the face of challenges or emergencies.
  • You will utilise MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio to produce high-quality documents and presentations that communicate complex information in an understandable format.
  • You will engage in regular communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on progress and responding promptly to feedback or requests for clarification.
  • You will support other project officers as needed by sharing knowledge, assisting with documentation tasks, or providing input on collaborative projects.

What you bring:

  • Your experience includes at least 2-3 years working in roles focused on technical documentation within digital systems environments.
  • Your background demonstrates proficiency in writing clear, concise technical documents tailored for both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Your skill set includes creating structured templates that improve consistency and efficiency across multiple projects or departments.
  • Your expertise extends to developing Disaster Recovery Plans that address potential risks and outline actionable steps for maintaining service continuity.
  • Your capabilities include preparing Business Continuity Plans that ensure organisational resilience during unforeseen events or disruptions.
  • Your familiarity with MS Word enables you to produce polished documents efficiently; your PowerPoint skills allow you to create impactful presentations; your Visio experience supports diagramming complex processes clearly.
  • Your excellent verbal communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Government sector experience would be advantageous.
