Project Manager - Workday Financial

My client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of Workday Financial, and data migration from Xero. This is a key role within the finance function, working closely with senior leadership to drive a large-scale finance transformation and deliver a new operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of project delivery — planning, governance, and execution.

• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate activities with internal teams.

• Lead data migration from Xero and ensure integration with Workday Financial.

• Develop and document new business processes, policies, and workflows.

• Drive change management and user adoption through training and communication.

• Monitor risks, issues, and progress against scope, budget and timeline.

Skills and experience

• 5+ years’ project management experience delivering finance transformation.

• 3+ years’ business analysis or process improvement experience.

• Workday Financial implementation experience is essential.

• Strong understanding of financial systems (GL, AP, AR, Budgeting & Forecasting, Reporting).

• Experience in technology-enabled change and process re-engineering.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
