Senior Project Manager
* Project Manager – Payroll Transformation (ECP / ERP / Business Delivery) * 6 month contract, high chance of extension * $1000 - $1100 per day
We’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager to lead a critical Payroll transformation project that sits as a key pillar in a wider enterprise program. This is a business–technology delivery role, requiring both payroll expertise and the ability to drive complex change across systems, processes, and people.
The role
You’ll be responsible for delivering a new Payroll solution with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) at the core, ensuring seamless integration into the ERP (SAP) downstream environment. Once the reconciliation of pay runs is complete, your work ensures payments flow accurately through ERP systems.
This isn’t just a technical delivery role – you’ll be driving business-facing outcomes, understanding the nuances of payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements while managing technical delivery streams. You’ll be the bridge between business and technology, ensuring both sides are aligned to deliver a successful outcome.
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the Payroll project, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-scope outcomes.
- Oversee integration of ECP with ERP and related downstream systems.
- Partner with business leaders, HR, and Finance teams to align payroll policies, procedures, and compliance with system delivery.
- Manage vendors, cross-functional teams, and governance forums in a matrix environment.
- Drive business readiness and change adoption, ensuring payroll processes are embedded successfully.
- Act as the central point for project communications, escalations, and decision-making.
- Balance both the technical and business perspectives to deliver sustainable, fit-for-purpose payroll outcomes.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience delivering Payroll transformation projects with SAP ECP and downstream ERP integration.
- Strong understanding of Payroll and HCM systems (e.g., SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle).
- Ability to navigate both technical delivery and business-facing activities – from system integration to policy, compliance, and change.
- Experience working in matrix environments, managing stakeholders across technology, HR, finance, and executive leadership.
- Strong project management skills (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid), supported by certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum, SAFe).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- A background in payroll operations, compliance, or HR processes will be highly regarded.
