The team also provides technical and formulation support, comprehensive regulatory expertise, and cutting-edge digital solutions across various industries.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Account Manager in the field of chemicals. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing customer relationships, identifying new sales growth opportunities, and driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, improving existing relationships, and actively seeking new product opportunities. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and rewards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing customers while developing new customer relationships
  • Identify and establish new product and market opportunities to drive business growth
  • Achieve sales targets by leveraging all communication channels, including digital channels
  • Increase gross profit and product portfolio by initiating cross-selling and value-based pricing opportunities
  • Follow sales protocols to generate new leads and improve conversion rates
  • Raise customer awareness by assisting in determining the right products for their needs
  • Submit accurate forecasts and manage effective pricing strategies
  • Prepare CRM reports relating to customers as specified by Managers
  • Conduct market studies on potential new product opportunities
  • Report on market and competitor information

Ideal Candidate:

  • Tertiary qualification in an industry-related discipline (science/chemistry)
  • 5+ years B2B sales experience in a Coatings/raw ingredients related commercial/sales role
  • Technical knowledge in coatings/paints/chemicals/raw ingredients discipline
  • Ability to demonstrate and communicate the value proposition of raw ingredient products
  • Experience in distribution, chemical or other similar industry desirable but not essential
