The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, you will be a hungry "hunter" passionate about the IT or Contact Centre industry with a proven track record in winning business and delivering results. You will report to the Sales Director for Australia, and work closely with Account Executive's, Solution Consultants, Pre-Sales Engineer's, Customer Success Manager's and Head of Service Delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow our footprint with existing customers through additional products and services
- Identifying new sales leads
- Pitching solutions and services
- Establishing and maintaining customer relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Researching organisations to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Developing quotes and proposals
- Owning and responding to RFQ’s, RFI’s and RFP’s
- Engaging the Solutions and Innovation team to assist with customer demonstrations, discovery workshops, RFP responses, presales design, customer roadmaps.
- Developing pricing models for all customer opportunities in conjunction with the Sales Director and Head of Finance
- Selling value to avoid discounting
- Achieving and maintaining Vendor certifications
- Engaging with industry Consultants
- Attending conferences and industry events
- Rigorous maintenance of Salesforce, ensuring that all opportunities are documented and up to date on a regular basis
- Directly Manage key accounts when required
- Full responsibility for achievement of all set targets
Skills & Experience:
- Understands the business benefits delivered by integrated CX/EX technologies, including Contact Centre, Unified Communications, IP telephony and their associated consulting, integration, professional services, and ongoing annuity support.
- Understands the IT Landscape: Network Infrastructure, Data Centre, Cyber Security
- Identifies enterprise customer needs and translates these into sales opportunities
- Understands and abides by the principles and practices of strategic solution selling
- Develops and maintains productive relationships with customers, prospective customers, consultants and vendor partners.
- High level of business and commercial acumen with an in-depth knowledge of the CX/EX industry (contact center, UC and employee engagement) and its current events.
- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills to engage customers at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and attention-to-detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritise well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Experience in selling and developing customer solutions and business cases in the areas of Customer Experience and/or Digital Transformation.
- Demonstrated capacity to consistently deliver a high level of service to all customers and maintain customer relationships.
