Seller Growth Manager
This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in expanding the seller base by acquiring high-potential businesses and ensuring their long-term success on one of the world’s most trusted online marketplaces. You will be empowered to connect with entrepreneurs, retailers, and distributors across Australia, helping them thrive in the ever-evolving digital economy.
What you'll do:
- Identify and onboard new high-value sellers across multiple retail categories by proactively prospecting through calls, LinkedIn outreach, industry events, and social channels to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Maintain accurate records of all outreach activities, opportunities, and progress using CRM systems such as Salesforce, ensuring prospects are professionally managed through each stage of the sales cycle.
- Promote the full suite of marketplace solutions—including Promoted Listings, Fulfilment services, and International Shipping—to drive immediate sales velocity for newly onboarded sellers.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Trust & Safety, Product Management, and Legal to deliver seamless experiences for sellers and resolve any policy or authenticity concerns efficiently.
- Guide new sellers through account registration processes, store setup procedures, and best practice recommendations to maximise their initial sales performance on the platform.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding projects post-signature by acting as the primary point of contact until sellers are fully live and transacting successfully on the marketplace.
- Assess each seller’s current technical infrastructure (such as Shopify, Maropost/Neto, BigCommerce, Magento or custom POS) and advise on optimal integration methods tailored to their needs.
- Assist sellers with migrating large catalogues of inventory by providing guidance on CSV bulk uploads, API connections, and ensuring product data meets quality standards required by the platform.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues such as blocked inventory caused by missing GTINs/UPCs or API sync failures so that sellers can list their complete product ranges without friction.
- Work closely with third-party integrators and inventory management software providers to streamline setup processes for sellers while delivering comprehensive training on Seller Hub tools for effective order management.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in business development, B2B sales or account management within e-commerce platforms, SaaS environments or retail sectors where relationship-building was key to success.
- Exceptional communication skills that allow you to build trust with stakeholders at all levels—from innovative solo entrepreneurs to large-scale distributors—while negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Proven track record managing sales pipelines effectively using CRM systems (with Salesforce experience highly regarded), consistently meeting KPIs in target-oriented settings.
- Comfortable discussing technical concepts related to e-commerce integrations; you understand how platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce operate and can confidently guide others through these processes.
- Highly organised with strong time-management abilities enabling you to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously without losing sight of details or deadlines.
- A genuine interest in passion-driven industries such as collectibles (trading cards, toys, sneakers or pop culture) is considered a significant asset; understanding what motivates collectors adds value in this space.
- Experience working with inventory management software or listing tools is highly desirable as it enables you to provide practical advice during onboarding and catalogue migration phases.
- A collaborative mindset that thrives in team-based environments where sharing knowledge leads to collective achievement rather than individual competition.
