Precision Technic Defence (PTD) Australia is a veteran-led company delivering integrated capability to Defence, Government, Law Enforcement, and First Responders. Our work is shaped by combat and operational experience and delivered with agility, adapting quickly to changing requirements. We focus on practical outcomes, providing reliable systems that support those responsible for protecting people and society across Australia, New Zealand, and the broader APAC region

PTD combines system integration, advisory capabilities and interoperability expertise with access to a strong international partner and supplier network.

Reporting to the Group CEO, The Managing Director, holds overall responsibility for the strategic, operational and commercial performance of the company. The MD will set direction, drive long-term growth, strengthen PTD’s position in the Australian market, ensure financial health and represent the company externally. The role includes leadership of the sales and support team, oversight of key business functions and ensuring alignment between strategy, operations and market needs.

The position is based in Perth, with some travel to customers, partners, and industry events in Australia and occasionally overseas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the overall sales strategy for Australia, aligned with PTD’s long term growth ambitions
  • Define clear commercial priorities, targets and success criteria across product areas and customer segments
  • Lead key strategic customer engagements and negotiations with senior defence and government stakeholders
  • Develop multi-year go to market plans for Australia with clear view on growth, key programmes and investments
  • Identify and prioritise new customer groups, defence programmes and B2G opportunities
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Business Development Managers
  • Promote a culture of accountability, performance and collaboration

Key requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior sales leadership role in complex B2B and B2G environments
  • Proven track record in defence or public sector with complex tenders and negotiations
  • Ability to build structure, processes, accountability and performance in a sales team
  • Proven experience developing strategic opportunities, pipeline growth and revenue growth
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills interacting with stakeholders at all levels
  • Customer centric with a clear focus on the end-to-end customer journey
  • Educational background in business, sales or related discipline
  • Military background highly regarded
