About the Role

Located in the outer northern suburbs and reporting to the customer service manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining excellent customer relationships through efficient order processing, proactive communication, and exceptional service delivery. You will work closely with various internal teams including sales, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless operations. Your responsibilities will also include managing freight arrangements for outgoing goods, supporting sales administration functions daily, and ensuring smooth credit processes for customers. Your ability to lead by example, coaching and mentoring others within your team will be crucial to your success in this role. This is a full-time permanent position working on site Monday to Friday with some rotating weekend work on a 4-6 weekly basis.

Tasks and Duties

  • Process and confirm customer orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Liaise with customers and buyers on any impacts to their orders
  • Arrange freight and required documentation for interstate outgoing goods
  • Support the sales team with communication to retailer purchasing teams
  • Oversee daily Sales Administration functions
  • Ensure smooth credit process for customers
  • Raise purchase orders for finished stock to be sold to customers
  • Undertake clerical tasks on an ad hoc basis
  • Provide leadership as a coach, mentor and guide in upskilling the customer service team

Skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills coupled with strong time management abilities.
  • Your problem-solving prowess backed by robust analytical skills enables you to thrive in this fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a fast-paced customer service or call centre setting is essential
  • Proficiency in computer operating systems
  • Your ability to handle customer demands sensitively and your confident communication skills will set you apart
  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
  • High level skill & proficiency in Computer Operating Systems (FreshPack, Excel, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to deal sensitively with customer demand
  • Confident and effective communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
