Our client is a leading general insurer in the Australian market, with a strong presence in New Zealand and connections to a global network of specialty insurance providers. They are seeking a Team Administrator to join their Commercial Bonds division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a team of experienced underwriters, assisting in business growth while upholding a robust risk management culture. The successful candidate will engage with clients, brokers, and internal teams, manage bond transactions, and ensure operational quality standards.

What you'll do:

As a Team Administrator in the Commercial Bonds division, your role will be pivotal in supporting the team's operations. You will be responsible for engaging with various stakeholders - from clients to brokers - facilitating bond transactions and resolving any arising inquiries. Your excellent organisational skills will be put to use as you handle application processing, invoice management, record keeping, and operational support. Additionally, you will contribute to portfolio management and reporting tasks. Upholding compliance standards and ensuring operational quality will also fall under your purview.

  • Engage with direct clients, brokers, and internal teams to facilitate bond transactions and resolve inquiries.
  • Receive, review, and process bond applications while addressing any client issues.
  • Prepare and send tax invoices related to bond transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper filing within business systems.
  • Oversee and manage bond issuance, invoicing, renewals, and tracking through internal and external platforms.
  • Support the management of the commercial bond portfolio and assist with reporting.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including underwriting support and maintaining operational quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards and uphold operational quality.


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Team Administrator role brings along 3-5 years' experience in banking, insurance or finance administration roles. You have strong communication skills both written and verbal demonstrated in your current role. You possess a business-based tertiary qualification and have strong organisational and operational management skills. Your keen eye for detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively will be crucial in this role. Your proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with your drive for results, will make you an invaluable asset to the team.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work well with clients, brokers, and teams.
  • Efficient at handling tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing a busy workload.
  • Ensure accuracy in document preparation and record-keeping.
  • Deliver quality work with a focus on timely, precise document handling.
  • Take action to solve problems, improve processes, and achieve goals.
  • Strong written and spoken English to communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Provide a positive experience for clients and stakeholders with a professional attitude.
  • A self-driven team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
