Vulnerability Specialist (AU Citizen | Ess8)

Are you a "Fixer" who thrives in a high-pressure environment? We are looking for a Vulnerability & Remediation Specialist to lead a newly created stream for a prominent Australian MSP. This is a high-context-switching role where you’ll own the strategy to ensure vulnerabilities get fixed.

This is a high-pressure, high-workload role within a newly created stream for a leading Australian MSP. You will not be sitting in a SOC monitoring alerts; you will be managing the end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle for a diverse portfolio of government and corporate clients.

What you will actually do:

• Execute Remediation: You are responsible for the entire lifecycle, with a specific focus on Patch Application and Patch OS.
• Compliance Standards: You will lead efforts to align customer environments with Essential 8 and ISM frameworks.
• Manage Stakeholders: You act as the bridge between security and IT operations. You must be comfortable having tough, collaborative conversations with technical teams to ensure patches are actually deployed.
• Tooling Ownership: Act as the technical lead for Rapid7 InsightVM or Microsoft Defender (preferred) to turn scan data into prioritized remediation plans.

Key Requirements:

• Australian Citizenship is mandatory (required for government-level security clearances).
• 2+ years of dedicated experience in Vulnerability Management (not general SOC/IR).
• MSP Resilience: You must be comfortable with high context-switching across multiple different client environments simultaneously.
• Proven experience in creating technical and executive-level vulnerability reports.
