Threat Intelligence Engineer | Consultancy (Big 4 Bank)

Are you a "Builder" who wants to join an elite security consultancy and drive a major project for a prominent Big Four bank? We are looking for a Threat Intelligence Engineer/Consultant to lead the deployment and operationalisation of a new, modern Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) on behalf of a leading security vendor.

This is a 70% engineering-focused role where you will own the migration from a legacy system to a new TIP solution, moving beyond simple analysis to build the bank’s core intelligence engine.

This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role sitting within the Cyber Security stream of a premier consultancy, embedded directly into a major financial institution. You will not be sitting back reading news feeds all day; you will play a critical role & be responsible for building the pipelines that make intelligence actionable for the SOC and Incident Response teams.

What you will actually do:

• Engineer the Platform: Take full ownership of deploying and configuring a new TIP, ensuring it is robust enough to handle the bank's massive data requirements.
• Lead the Migration: Manage the end-to-end transition from a legacy, high-volume system into the new TIP environment. This is a long-term programme where you own the data integrity.
• Build the "Pipes": Engineer the integrations between the TIP and the bank’s primary security stack, specifically Microsoft Sentinel and XSOAR, to automate threat blocking.
• Operationalise Intelligence: 30% of your role will involve defining Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and mapping adversary TTPs to the MITRE ATT&CK framework to ensure detections are tuned to the real threats.

Key Requirements:

• Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship (preferred) is required for this role.
• 4+ years of dedicated experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, SOC, or Incident Response.
• TIP Engineering Expertise: Proven hands-on experience deploying and configuring enterprise-grade TIP platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect, Anomali).
• Technical Plumbing: You must have a background in building data pipelines and integrating intel feeds with SIEM platforms, specifically Sentinel.
• Consulting Mindset: Ability to act with autonomy, deliver technical runbooks, and "sell" the value of intelligence to diverse stakeholders.
